Reka Csapo DUP (b. 1967, Cluj-Napoca), sculptor. In 1987 she graduated from the High School of Fine Arts, Cluj-Napoca and in 1997 graduated from the University of Fine Arts, Bucharest, Department of Sculpture. She is member of the Department of Sculpture, lecturer at the University of Arts in Bucharest and member A.R.B.S. Royal Society of British Sculptors, UK. In 2008 she got her PhD in Visual Arts. She won numerous national and international awards, including the Prize for metal at Arts of Fire Biennale, Bucharest (1997), Award for sculpture, Morges, Switzerland (1999), the ”George Apostu” Award (2000), ”Gaudeamus” Award, Bucharest (2002).

2008 - PhD in Visual Arts, with a ”Summa cum laude” distinction for the thesis: ”The plastic aspects of the gnosis in postmodern vision” (coordinator Prof. Dr. Mihail Manescu)

1998 - present - Lecturer in the Department of Sculpture of the National University of Arts, Bucharest
