Nicolae STOICA, sculptor. In 1980 he graduated from ”Nicolae Tonitza” High school of Fine Arts, Bucharest and in 1996 he graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts Bucharest, Department of Sculpture. In 1997 he became member of the Romanian Visual Artists' Union and in 2009 member of the Hasdeu (H.D.U) Cultural Centre. In 2001 he won the Special Award at the International Biennale of Sculpture in Toyamura, Japan. In 2006 he has received the Romanian Visual Artists' Union Award for Ambient and in 2008 2nd Prize at the National Contest for the monument dedicated to Andrei Saguna. He has attended at numerous individual and group exhibitions, national and international.
