Giani Iosif AMARANDEI (b. 1969, Butea, Iasi), sculptor. He had studied at ”Octav Bancila” High school of Fine Arts, Iasi. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, Department of sculpture, having Mircea Spataru and Darie Dup as professors. Between 1997-2000 he worked for the achievement of the urban monuments: ”Flying bird” (Victoriei Avenue, Bucharest), ”Army’s Monument” (Kisselef Boulevard, Bucharest) and ”Burebista” (Orastie, Hunedoara).
