Elena GHEORGHE (b.1981, Constanta), sculptor. In 2004 she graduated from the National University of Arts Bucharest, Professor Mihai Buculei’s class. She is a member of the Union of Plastic Artists Romania, Sculpture Branch, Bucharest. Awards: 2004 - First prize for sculpture, Gheorghe Petrascu Biennale, Targoviste; 2008 - Third prize for sculpture, Gheorghe Petrascu Biennale, Targoviste; 2011 - Second prize for the Gheorghe Dinica bust solution competition - National Cultural Heritage. Monumental works: 2005 - ”Romania and the nationalities”, for the Pasoptist Monument, Arad; 2010 - ”Icar - The Pain of Helplessness”, Titan Park, Bucharest.
