Claudiu FILIMON (b. 1956, Romania), sculptor. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, Bucharest, Department of sculpture. Between 1987-1991 he taught sculpture and was head of sculpture department at ”Nicolae Tonitza” High School of Fine Arts, Bucharest. Currently is professor of sculpture at the Department of continuing education at Terre et Feu Workshop from Paris, France. He is a member of the Romanian Union of Plastic Artists and in 1992 he joined the French Artists House. In 1982 and 1984 he won the ”Frederic Storck” scholarship granted by the Bucharest City Hall. In 1984 he received the Romanian Union of Plastic Artists Award and Atelier 35 Award, for sculpture. In 1985 he won the gold medal at the Sculpture in bronze Biennale from Ravenne, Italy. Between 1980-1992 he attended to various sculpture contests, biennales, national and international art salons and sculpture exhibitions in Romania and abroad.
