Claudia MUSAT (born 1958, Bucharest), visual artist specialized in tapestry. She graduated in 1982 from ”Nicolae Grigorescu” Institute of Fine Arts Bucharest, Professor Maria Blendea’s class. Since 1992 she is a lecturer at the Textile Arts and Design Department, Faculty of Decorative Arts and Design, National University of Arts Bucharest. Between 2004 and 2008 she was a member of the ProfessorsˈCouncil of the Faculty of Decorative Arts and Design, and in 2006 she obtained a PhD at the National Art University with the thesis ”Visual effects specific to the contemporary fabrics used in the creation and production of clothing”. Since 2011 she is a member of the Department of Textile Arts and Design and member in Council of the Faculty of Decorative Arts and Design. Since 1982 till now she has attended at numerous art salons, annual, biennial and triennial art exhibitions organized by UAP in Romania and she has been selected for participation in major international exhibitions. Starting with 1990, she has a permanent activity to represent the university artistic values, by organizing the students and young artists exhibitions.
